Tech CEOs and Silicon Valley luminaries congratulated President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris soon after their victory in the U.S. presidential election Saturday.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos celebrated Biden and Harris’ acquire in an Instagram put up. Bezos claimed their victory signifies that “unity, empathy and decency are not characteristics of a bygone period.”
Bezos has experienced a rocky connection with President Donald Trump in the course of his presidency. Trump has regularly taken aim at Bezos around his possession of The Washington Put up, Amazon’s tax file and its connection with the Postal Assistance.
Microsoft founder Invoice Gates, who has been a vocal critic of Trump’s coronavirus reaction, said he looked ahead to “doing work with the new administration and leaders on both of those sides in Congress on getting the surging pandemic less than regulate.”

Laurene Powell Positions, founder of Emerson Collective and widow of Apple founder Steve Positions, also celebrated Biden and Harris’ win in a tweet, noting that the vice president-elect’s victory represents a “glass ceiling shattered the moment and for all.”
Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins wrote in a tweet that the organization aligns with Biden and Harris’ “perception that we will have to construct a far more inclusive foreseeable future for all.”
Box CEO Aaron Levie celebrated Biden and Harris’ victory in a sequence of tweets. Levie additional that their victory will be “good for American competitiveness.”
“Although there is practically nothing magical Biden can do, that is the position,” Levie explained. “Businesses require market balance, international trade relations that you should not modify on a whim, expertise from just about everywhere, lengthy-array planning and a deficiency of regular distractions.”
